About BDNAB

Brunei Darussalam National Association of the Blind (BDNAB) was established on 17th January 2001 with the aim to empower the nation's blind and partially sighted by striving to promote equality and full participation in society. More than 70 blind / visually impaired are registered under BDNAB (as of December 2015).

Objectives

  1. To promote the prevention and treatment of blindness and visual impairment.
  2. Spread objective information about the situation of the blind and partially sighted in order to win friends and allies in the struggle for equality and full participation in society by the visually disabled in Brunei Darussalam.
  3. Keep the blind and partially sighted informed about their rights about existing possibilities for assistance.
  4. Plan, establish and run different kinds of activities and services for the blind and partially sighted of Brunei Darussalam.
  5. Improve the situation of the blind and partially sighted in the fields of education, employment and culture.
  6. Represent the blind and partially sighted nationally and in international affairs.
